About This Work
“This is a painting that I did shortly after visiting a horse farm east of Toronto. It was such a calm and beautiful setting. I liked the way the light was coming through the trees and onto the house. It looked like a little sparkle of light just sitting among the trees.”

Biography
Lorne Winters spent 20 years establishing himself as one of Canada's leading commercial artists, painting works that were used for advertising purposes by some of the world’s leading corporations; Coca-Cola, Nike and General Motors to name a few.

Throughout that time, Lorne continued to pursue the more personal side of his art career. He found that oil paints were the medium best suited to his realistic style, allowing him the flexibility and versatility to fully explore his subject matter and realize his personal vision for each piece. 
 
"I believe, if you can draw well, you should be able to draw anything. Similarly, if you can paint well you should be able to paint any subject. My subject matter is determined by what inspires me, what I feel strongly connected with and that which I find beautiful.” 
 
As a successful, full-time painter, Lorne is represented by a number of galleries and participates in international art fairs and other shows. He continues to paint what he loves.
