About This Work
“As much as I wish to represent the wonderful sights I’ve seen in Newfoundland on canvas, I also want to tell a story. ‘Heading Home’ shows the end of a successful day at sea. The soft and colourful hues are a metaphor for the warmth, kindness and sense of community exhibited by the people I have met there. The gulls too are settling together after a busy day as the fisherman heads home to family.”
