About This Work
“The painting shows the windy winter day when the grass and the trees are moving and bending under strong wind and heavy snow. In spite of these harsh weather conditions, we see the multitude of colours created by the reflections of the sun and the sky in the snow. We feel springtime approaching. Winter will be gone!”
Biography
Accomplished painter, restorer and teacher, Guennadi has over 40 years of experience in painting landscapes, portraits, and figures, mastering the most ancient techniques. He has successfully restored work by the Group of Seven, the school of Barbizon and many privately owned paintings. Guennadi Kalinine has 18 years of experience in teaching at DVSA to children and adults of all levels of expertise.
