About This Piece
This painting is a scene from the beautiful Killarney Park, on the northeast side of Georgian Bay, frequented by many artists including the Group of Seven. The view is from my canoe on an early morning paddle on George Lake in the calm stillness.

 

Biography
E. Robert Ross has been a full-time landscape artist since 1975, exhibiting primarily in Ontario, with solo exhibitions at the public Art Galleries in Hamilton, Burlington and Dundas, He is represented by Gallery Gevik, Toronto, and McMaster Fine Art, Dundas. His work is included in many international collections including those of King Charles III, Former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson and President Bill Clinton. Large paintings may be viewed in public areas at St Joseph’s, St Peter’s, and Hamilton General Hospitals, McMaster Medical and Juravinski Cancer, and David Braley Health Science Centres, the Headquarters of the RBG and the Hamilton Conservation Authority, The John Sopinka Court House and Mohawk College.

A painting depicting the Madawaska River was purchased by the Royal Canadian Mint to serve as the design for their coin celebrating the legacy of Algonquin Park.

Having served as a board member, instructor, art/environment activist, juror, and juried show organizer for various arts organizations, he is currently serving on the Council of Governors, Art Gallery of Hamilton.

All proceeds from our auctions support school operations and DVSA’s groundbreaking hands-on art programs for participants of all ages and backgrounds.

Shipment can be arranged for purchasers outside the GHA upon request. Shipping fees are extra and to be paid by the purchaser. Shipping requests can be made to bid@dvsa.ca.

Some works may not be able to be shipped due to size, weight or fragility. We are unable to ship ceramic and glass works due to their fragile nature and the expense to package them securely for shipping.
