About This Piece
The Toronto City Hall building was an award-winning architectural design created in the early 1960’s by Finnish architect Viljo Revell. Tim, who is also of Finnish descent, was drawn to the clean simplicity of Revell’s design as he regularly traversed this space over a period of years, often admiring the shapes, massing and light plays that he experienced every day. His attraction to uncomplicated design is now an embodiment of his current painting style.
