About This Piece
Spring Chickens is the first in a series of four pieces that I hope to paint. I often like to create a body of work as it provides me with a path or a goal. In this case it’s the Four Seasons. I wanted to capture the breeze, the blossoms and the freshness of spring. And the chickens came along for the ride! Hence the title.

Artist Statement
Capturing a moment of life, an emotion, a thought…. using a gesture, or an expression, along with colour, light, texture, brushstroke…. Painting a story.
