About This Piece
This sculpture represents positive energy, the release of my mood and expression as an artist that day. – Mark

Mark Pflieger Biography
Born in 1966, metal artist Mark Pflieger was raised on a small rural farm on the outskirts of Hamilton, Ontario and returned to his roots in rural Hamilton in his late twenties. He owns and operates Pflieger Eavestrough Company where his focus is exterior restoration of historical buildings in Hamilton and the surrounding area. Pflieger finds inspiration in the beauty of Hamilton and its architecture and is especially enamored with the Skyway Bridge. Using methods such as welding, forging and oxyacetylene free hand torch, he turns scrap and recycled metal into abstract sculptures and torches sketched images into the metal – often depicting the architecture and sceneries he finds beautiful in Hamilton and other Canadian places. Mark is presently working with celebrated artists including abstract artist Donna Lacka and Indigenous artist, song writer and best-selling author Tom Wilson.

Donna Lacka Biography
Donna is a Hamilton, Ontario local award-winning mixed media artist and published art journalist. Her work in acrylics, watercolors, pastels and alcohol ink has enabled her to compete and be successful in having her art exhibited locally and in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area. Her journal art work has been published in international art journaling magazines. It has been a long journey but very rewarding. Donna will tell you that although it is a rewarding journey, she beats to no drummer, follows not particular genre or known artist, but rather prefers to use her own imagination in creating her work.
