Hans Martin Schleeh was an abstract figurative sculptor and painter born in Koenigsfeld, Germany. He studied sculpture at the Lahr School for Sculptors under Richard Class; and at the Fine Arts Academy in Karlsruhe, Germany; graduating in 1948. He emigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1951 and years later moved to Don Mills, Ontario.
His sculpture mediums are marble, stone, copper and steel. His painting mediums include oil, watercolour and pastel. His subjects include birds, nudes, musicians and mythology. He worked primarily as a sculptor since 1962.
He began showing his work in 1953 and had his first one man show of 42 sculptures in Montreal's Dominion Gallery in 1960. His work is in the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Tel Aviv Museum (Israel), the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Edmonton Art Gallery and the Storm King Art Center in Mountain Ville, New York. It is also in many corporate and private collections.

We are unable to ship ceramic and glass works due to their fragile nature and the expense to package them securely for shipping.
