About This Piece
In life we are always going through so many transitions, lately I want to make things simpler, and this shows up on my canvas
"Back To Basics" was a special piece. As I started to paint I thought of the tranquillity and minimalism that I now want in my life. Less stuff and more experiences, more tranquil moments down by the lakeside, being grateful for everything in my life as I look back and think that I've done a great job... now it's my time to just sit back and breathe...
Biography
Maureen McNeil is self-taught and in love with trees. She uses different methods to get to the glow that she constantly chases, replicating what she sees when she steps outside and creating beautiful Canadian art inspired by the landscapes in her backyard.
She loves to disappear into the world of colour and endless possibilities… her meditative practice, curiosity, and the beautiful landscapes of Canada guide and inspire her daily.
You can find her in her studio/gallery in Lorne Park Mississauga along with her fabulous husband, four children and their dog, Eddie.
Available payment options
All proceeds from our auctions support school operations and DVSA’s groundbreaking hands-on art programs for participants of all ages and backgrounds.
Shipment can be arranged for purchasers outside the GHA upon request. Shipping fees are extra and to be paid by the purchaser. Some works may not be able to be shipped due to size, weight or fragility. Shipping requests can be made to bid@dvsa.ca.
