About This Piece
Doris the Dancing Bear began as a 15-minute piece, painted on stage while The Dundas Orchestra played. I was able to capture the moment and continue the painting in my studio.

Biography
Sandee Ewasiuk graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design, in 1989, specializing in editorial illustration. She studied Art and Art History at McMaster University and has been painting and exhibiting for over 25 years. She’s fortunate and grateful that her work exists in collections around the world.
Sandee has spent many years teaching at Dundas Valley School of Art, Fleming College, and the Art Gallery of Burlington. She currently teaches art at Columbia International College in Hamilton.
