About This Piece
For forty years, we had a family farm near Creemore Ontario that supplied me with most of my inspiration for my paintings throughout the years.

We had Holsteins and other breeds for a few years. And the barn, wild apple trees and the rolling hills of the Niagara Escarpment that passed by the farm were all great inspiration.

I found these cows, the trees and the barn in the distance created an ideal composition for this painting.

Biography
I painted all my life and was asked to do school Christmas cards and other projects in my school years. Upon graduating high school, I went to Ontario College of Art and Design to study Fine Art.

Wanting to learn more classical techniques and mainly impressionism, I ended up studying at the Academia De Belle Arti in Florence, Italy, and took courses at the portrait academy there as well.

I had exhibitions in Italy, Sweden, and England before returning to Toronto where I had annual shows in Qhan Sheider Gallery, Gallery Rochon, and Hollander York Gallery as well as many group shows. My work is shown in many prominent public and private collections. I have taught courses in life drawing, portraiture, and landscape at Ontario College of Art and Design, Sheridan College in Oakville, and various other schools and academies.

Every year I go to art colonies in different countries to paint with artists from all over the world.  Last year I was in Kazakhstan and among the other countries I’ve been to are Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Russia, Crimea, Romania, and Turkey.

Eventually, I would like to run my own art colony in Canada and rejoin with the many friends and great artists I have met on my trips.
