Biography
I grew up in the interior of British Columbia and later relocated to Ontario to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Art at McMaster University. In the last few years my art practice has included interior scenes, which I find challenging. Interior spaces are fun to paint and, like landscapes, demand close attention to angles, light, shadow, pattern, and reflection, but add architectural elements. Interiors evoke a sense of intimacy and privacy. Within these works, I frequently include paintings-within-paintings as a compositional and conceptual device.
