About This Piece
Odyssey was created to establish an emotional bridge, being a reference to the places I’ve travelled, and the forms in nature I’ve found unique. I was inspired to paint energetically to capture memories or the essences of those forms. Acrylic paint and stick media became the narrative for this intuitive almost chaotic composition that became a guidepost for my colour choices. I viewed this canvas as a container for the intrinsic experience and I’m inviting the viewer to wander around my responsive recollection to make personal connections to their own memory of place.
