About This Piece
I was drawn to interpret, investigate and delve into the luscious pinks of my summer garden Pink Oriental Lilies.

I love to create larger-than-life flowers on a canvas that demands attention and space to shine. My goal with “Lilies Prosper” was to highlight the lights, shadows and vivid colours with exaggerated echoes of my garden and the natural world around me.

Some years ago, as a graphic artist, I came to the conclusion that I was more interested in the beauty of art for art’s sake, rather than art for advertising.

Since then, as a professional full-time artist, I have studied and experimented with many painting mediums and found acrylic and acrylic mediums on canvas, the most fulfilling.

With my garden flowers as my inspiration, I strive to create unique larger-than-life floral paintings.

I am drawn to exaggerate colours, shadows, natural lines, and contrast, creating a shift in my interpretation of reality.

It is my goal to share my work and create a natural extension of my imagination and the world around me.

Along with my “Floral Series”, I often enjoy adding to my popular stylized art, with my “Village Series” and my “Tree Series”. These paintings are inspired by my travels and my love of nature.

As a self-represented artist, I appreciate selling my work, both locally and internationally.

I look forward to a continuation of painting and sharing my original artwork, for many years to come.
