About This Piece
Inspired by the still life paintings of the 17th-century Dutch Golden Age Masters and Hyper-realism, I create luminously detailed paintings of common objects. Though simple in composition and subject matter, the stillness and quietude of my still-life works offer a deeper emotional experience than what initially, visually meets the eye.

Biography
Originally from Montreal, Marsha now resides in Oakville, Ontario. She holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics, an MBA, and has held the Project Management Professional Certification. In her prior life, she provided consulting and project management services to the financial and technology industries. After retiring from the corporate and consulting world, she began pursuing her interest in art and more specifically in painting. She completed the Fine Arts Program at Sheridan College and during that time, selected oil as her medium of choice. Marsha paints still life from her home studio. Her paintings are held in private collections in Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
