About This Piece
The scene is an old farm just outside of Thornbury, last October. I was driving home as the harvest super-moon was just coming up and as I passed the farm, I thought the position of the moon in the sky made for a nice balance to the barn against the tree line. If I’d driven by five minutes earlier or later I don’t think the composition wouldn’t have worked. I also liked the way the purples of the sunset/moonrise were reflected in the freshly harvested field.
